Our Fire Investigation
K9 service
Our experienced Fire Investigator Handlers work with
their Certificated canines to detect residues of
Ignitable Liquids that may be present in a fire scene.

Following risk assessment and wearing  'canine PPE', the dogs are
able to search a scene efficiently and effectively, the dogs give a
'positive indication' to their Handler when they detect
one of their ten 'target substances', the Handler providing a
streamlined Forensic Reporting (SFR) statement to the Investigation team.

Positive indications are followed by evidential sampling
and laboratory testing to confirm the presence of an
Ignitable Liquid, and so informing the
fire investigation.
